Rig Site Safety

Safety International, Inc. provides on-site safety personnel for oil & gas well drilling or work over operations, plant turnarounds and construction sites. We work with our clients to develop a program that meets their expectations. At most sites we are in charge of overseeing and documenting all of the safety on the site. In some cases we are there only to provide EMT services, confined space rescue, confined space entry or fire watch personnel.

Some of the normal job duties that our personnel are engaged in:

• Orientation of new personnel to the location.
• Confined Space & Hot work Permits
• Assist with safety meetings
• Assist Operator & Toolpusher in administering safety policy
• Assist with JSA & STOP Process
• Maintain list of personnel on site.
• Site Safety Inspection
• Incident documentation and investigation.
• Incident Root-Cause-Analysis.

The people that we employ are people who are experienced in the oil & gas industry and have been trained in the field of safety. All of our personnel are Advanced Medic First-Aid Trained so that they can respond to medical emergencies. They are also trained in Confined Space Entry & Rescue, Fall Protection, Respiratory Protection, HAZCOM, 40 Hr. Hazwoper and several other OSHA required training programs. Our key personnel have been through BOP school. We are currently in the process of establishing our own state certified EMT program so that we can assure that our personnel are current in their skills.
